Hi everyone.
I am running:
Xandros Desktop 3.0.2 OC \s on \l
Kernel 2.6.11-x1
JRE 1.4.2_06
I bit the bullet and ditched xp. Have loaded up xandros and thought hey runescape will work, its only java, And of course it didn't lol. So I thought hey maybe its because I am not running the most up to date jre1.5. I have tried to download, install and configure jre1.5 but when I check it always comes back saying I am running jre1.4.2.
Does anyone know of anything peculiaralities that I need to configure to get runescape to work on linux?
This is the first time I have used a different OS to Windows so pls dont be too technical lol

I was running Runescape on 4.0 not that long ago.
Let me check into 3.0.2 for you today.
Going to move this topic to games. _________________ Kevin MacPherson

As I write this I am signed on in another window to Runescape on a machine running Xandros Desktop OCE 3.0.2, and it works like a charm, and looks real nice with the new Runescape. Sometimes you have to play with how you sign on. Here at home I signed on as a signed applet (when you log in to Runescape), but I know that in many public libraries, like the one where I work, you have to sign on as an unsigned applet. You might have to play with each possibility til you find one that works. _________________ krnewman |
