When first installed, Xandros worked with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz installed on my PC. A couple of weeks ago, it stopped working. The board works fine under WinME. The Control Center indicates that the board is detected, but I don't know how to get it connect. Xandros does still work with the motherboard (SiS) sound capability, but that is not the one we are connected to. All the sliders are high on the Sound Mixer panel.
Does anyone have a suggestion to getting the sound to turn back on? |

Hi Chris -
A little more info, please, about the card and your setup? PCI/ISA? Have you installed the sound updates from Xandros Networks? By not being "connected" to "motherboard (SiS) sound capability", you mean where your speakers are plugged in, correct? Have you checked your BIOS to see if it is possible to manually disable the on-board (SiS) sound? |

I tried disabling the on-board sound capability from the BIOS and that did the trick. I should have tried that earlier, but since the Santa Cruz board used to work with the on-board still enabled, I thought something else had changed. Thanks for the great suggestion! |
