Is scalix that come with Xandros has the same features as the scalix small Business edition?
is there any limitation in Xandros scalix version in terms of number of users, or premium mailbox?
Thanks for the great product. |

I'll agree with you it is an outstanding server platform. These are excerps from Xandros's web site
| Quote: | Scalix Xandros Edition includes 5 Premium User licenses, plus a license for an unlimited number of Standard Users. Additional Premium user licenses may be purchased from Xandros through Xandros Networks.
| from http://www.xandros.com/products/business/server/services/scalix.html But in the same article they refer to enterprise version of Scalix. But from the FAQ page http://www.xandros.com/products/business/server/faqs.html
they state | Quote: | | 7) How does Scalix Xandros Edition differ from other versions of Scalix? Scalix Xandros Edition is based on the Scalix Premium Edition product, and includes all the same benefits and features. Scalix Xandros Edition includes 5 Premium User licenses, as well as a license for unlimited Standard Users. | What is Premium edition? The Scalix site includes Enterprise, Small Bus, Community, Community raw and Xandros. Click on Xandros Server product guide and it states | Quote: | | Industrial-strength Email and Calendaring. Scalix Xandros Edition is based on the award winning Scalix Enterprise Edition and provides unlimited-use industrial-strength email and personal calendaring. |
This from the Scalix Version comparison page. http://www.scalix.com/products/compareeditions.html | Quote: | | * Xandros Edition is functionality equivalent to Enterprise Edition and includes five free Premium Users. Xandros Edition is part of the Xandros Server. For more information, visit www.xandros.com. |
I hope this help you! |

your help is very much appreciated. I did install scalix and it's working just fine.
coming from a MS/Exchange background, I would rate scalix as very easy to administer, however, there is not much GUI control when it comes to SMTP configurations. I hope scalix can add more controls on their GUI to fully administer this great product from its GUI interface.
I'm still evaluating Xandros Server, and hope it'll be my pick for SME solutions. |

What SMTP configuration are you trying to setup? |

I'm talking about all SMTP related configurations like:
smart host configurations, SMTP relay restrictions/Authentication, etc.. |

| There is not significant difference between the two except for clustering. Scalix does cluster testing with Red Hat and Suse. |
