I wasn't sure where to ask this, but....
I made a separate user for my tax stuff- at the time I was using gdm as a login, which gives the option of a pure win4lin session (full screen windows (!))
Anyway- I also encrypted the "tax" home folder.

So.. now I'm getting ready to do my taxes Sad , I try to log in as that user, and I get an "access has been disabled by the system administrator"....

Hello... *I'm* the bloody system administrator SmileSmile.

I checked the user settings under the Control Center, and access is enabled. Where are these files located on the system?

I actually got it back- I had 2 problems- kdm wouldn't take &fwin as a session (I had set it in gdm for a full screen win4lin session), but gdm wouldn't take a Xandros kdm encrypted home folder.

So... I just went to the Control Center and unchecked "encrypt home folder" for user tax, switched to gdm for a bit, changed the session back to kde, and I'm good to go Wink

We got audited by the IRS last year- after the audit, I think the agent felt sorry for us Wink

Audits are a pain. I'm self employed so they like to look at least 1 or 2 things each year. What I've gotten to is to find out the questions as precisely as possible and then just give them the right folder and leave them alone with it. Three months later I get a letter telling what they thought and usually nothing, or if anything, then a mild argument which results in more or less nothing. These guys are bureaucrats who have to fill up their days with something, so they go fishing. I handle this better than when I was 12 and sent to the principal's office, but it is the same feeling.
